RELATIONSHIP BETWEEN OHANAEZE AND IWA FIRMS UP |

The relationship between Ohanaeze Ndigbo and Igbo World Assembly (IWA) moved up the rung of the ladder on Tuesday September 28, 2010 when the Chairman of IWA, Dr Nwachukwu Anakwenze was appointed to chair the symposium organized as part of activities to mark the 2010 Igbo Day at the Okpara Auditorium Umuahia, Abia State Nigeria.
Another notable feature of the event was the selection of Reverend Francis Ukwamedua, Director General, Elders and Trustee Council of Igbo states of America, CISA to lead the opening prayers at the symposium

President Jonathan Representative said at IWA Summit
President Goodluck Jonathan (Rep) has called on Ndigbo in diaspora to teach their children how to speak Igbo language.
The President made the call in Umuahia on Monday September 27, 2010 while declaring open the second summit of Igbo World Assembly, IWA.

The Igbo World Assembly, IWA, has become a household name among the apex Ndigbo Cultural Association, Ohanaeze Ndigbo and by implication among the ethnic group.
The Umuahia Township Stadium was electrified with ecstasy on Wednesday September 29 as a delegation of IWA, led by its Chairman Dr. Nwachukwu Anakwenze drove into the Stadium for activities to mark the grand finale of the 2010 Igbo Day. Other members of the delegation include Chief Christian Onuorah, Deputy Chairman of IWA and Leader of Council of Igbo Communities (CIC) in the United Kingdom, Dr. Allison Anadi, Chairman of IWA Convention Planning Committee, Chief (Sir) Tony Idigo J.P., DSG Media and Publicity of CISA and an IWA representative, Reverend Francis Ukwamedua DSG Elders and Trustee Council of Council of Igbo States of America, CISA,and Ms. Megan Clement, Head of Ndigbo Women Forum in the UK and a member of C.I.C.
